Efforts

Finlayson has been a place of striving. Efforts (Pyrkimyksiä) was a multi-part, 20-meter-tall complex on the Finlayson factory grounds in Tampere. Finlayson has always been a place of dreams. Drawn by the textile industry, the city filled with hopeful country folk who came in search of work and a better future. Then the area filled with software companies and startups. In the work, too, some of the aspirants succeed, while others fall by the wayside.

The work was part of the Finlayson Art Area event in 2019 and was temporary.
